The Virginia Floodplain Management Association (VFMA) Board of Directors currently has four (4) positions open for election (Vice President, Treasurer, and two Representatives). Each of these positions will serve a two-year term beginning in April 2026. To be eligible for the Board of Directors, you must be an active member of VFMA for at least the year prior to the election. The nomination form must be used to provide contact information for each nominee, the position they're being nominated for, and professional qualifications that make the nominee a good fit for the VFMA Board. The information provided on this form will be included on the Election Voting Form to provide details on each candidate to VFMA members.
Spearhead Annual Conference planning
Oversee board election with month-long application period and month-long voting timeframe in off year when President is being elected in time for results at All-Member call
Acts on the President's behalf on their absence or as directed by the Board
Pay bills of the association
Consider Committee Chair position, report out on the committee at monthly board meetings, all-member calls and the annual conference
The voting period for this election will begin Friday, March 13 and close at 11:59 pm on Friday, April 10. Only votes cast by current VFMA members will be counted. The results of this election will be announced at the VFMA Annual Conference in Richmond April 23-24, 2026.
The 2026 Election Officers are Board Members Uday Khambhammettu (President), Kevin Donnelly (Treasurer), and Nora Jackson (Representative).
