Past Conferences

Prior to 2021, VFMA collaborated with the Virginia Lakes and Watershed Association (VLWA) to co-host the Virginia Water Conference, traditionally held in early spring. Beginning in 2021, VFMA transitioned to organizing its own independent conference in the fall. However, due to scheduling conflicts with hurricane season, the 2025 Annual Conference was canceled. Starting in 2026, VFMA has resumed hosting its Annual Conference in late spring, aligning with a more favorable seasonal window.

2023 Annual Conference

This conference was approved by ASFPM for 12 continuing education credits (CECs) for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs).
