About VFMA

The Virginia Floodplain Management Association (VFMA) is a group of professionals representing state and federal agencies, local governments, and private firms dedicated to expanding the application of proactive floodplain management. VFMA was created in 1994 to serve the floodplain management community of Virginia and held its first conference in Williamsburg. Annual meetings have since been held as part of the Annual Virginia Water Conference, which VFMA co-sponsors with the Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association in Richmond every March.

VFMA is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization (TAX ID# 30-0169277).
