On October 22, 2020, Governor Northam released Virginia’s first Coastal Resilience Master Planning Framework! This Framework was developed as part of Executive Order 24, issued by Governor Northam in November 2018, and will be the basis of a coordinated strategy for dealing with flooding and future sea level rise in the coastal region.
“This document is a roadmap that puts the full strength of the Commonwealth into creating a comprehensive Coastal Resilience Master Plan that will protect communities, commerce, and the coastal environment.”
